Terms and Conditions

Useful information from Nottingham Plumbers.

Effective date: 10 August 2026 – version 2026-08-10

1. About these terms

These terms govern use of NottinghamPlumbers.uk (“the Website”). Nottingham Plumbers is an independent directory and enquiry-introduction service. Nottingham Plumbers is the trading name used for this development-stage service. Full operator identification and address will be published before the public launch. Contact: info@nottinghamplumbers.uk.

By using the Website or submitting an enquiry you agree to these terms. Plumbers and business applicants must also agree to the separate Business Terms.

2. Our role

We help visitors discover plumbing businesses and send enquiries. Listed businesses are independent. We do not employ them, act as their agent, set their prices, supervise their work, or become party to any quotation, appointment or contract between a customer and a business. A listing, badge or review is information for comparison, not a guarantee or professional recommendation.

3. Customer responsibilities

Before appointing a business, check that its identity, experience, insurance, qualifications and any scheme membership are suitable and current; obtain a written scope, price and timescale; ask who will perform the work; and agree payment, cancellation and guarantee terms directly. For gas work, check the individual engineer on the official Gas Safe Register. Seek urgent/emergency services where life, safety, gas, fire, flooding or structural risk requires them.

4. Listings, rankings and availability

Profile information may be supplied by businesses or public sources and can change. Our Listing and Verification Policy explains checks and badge meanings. We may correct, suspend or remove a listing. Search order may consider relevance, location, availability, profile completeness, evidence status, review information and service quality signals. Paid or sponsored placement will be labelled. “Available” and response-time information is indicative unless stated otherwise.

5. Enquiries

When you submit an enquiry, we use and share the information as described at the form and in our Privacy Notice. Submission does not guarantee a response, quotation, appointment or outcome. Do not include unnecessary sensitive or confidential information. You are responsible for the accuracy of your request.

6. Reviews and user content

Reviews must follow our Reviews Policy and describe a genuine first-hand experience. You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, moderate, reproduce and display it for operating and promoting the service. You confirm you have the rights needed to submit it. We may delay, reject, redact or remove content under our published policies and the law.

7. Acceptable use

You must not submit false, unlawful, abusive, infringing or privacy-invasive material; impersonate another person; scrape, automate or overload the service; circumvent security; or use enquiry details for unrelated purposes. Our Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these terms.

8. Intellectual property and external services

Website branding, design and original content belong to us or our licensors. Third-party names, marks, maps and content belong to their owners. Links and embedded services do not mean we endorse or control the third party.

9. Service and liability

We use reasonable care in operating the Website but do not promise uninterrupted availability or that third-party information is complete, current or error-free. Nothing excludes or limits liability where unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or consumers’ statutory rights. Subject to that, we are not responsible for the acts, omissions, quotations, contracts or work of independent businesses, or losses not reasonably foreseeable from our breach. Nothing in these terms makes a customer responsible for losses caused by our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

10. Suspension, changes and termination

We may restrict access or remove content where reasonably needed for security, legal compliance, investigation or protection of users. We may update these terms; the effective date identifies the version. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights already accrued.

11. Complaints and disputes

Report directory, listing or review concerns through our Complaints and Notice-and-Action Policy or email info@nottinghamplumbers.uk. Complaints about plumbing work should first be raised with the relevant independent business and any applicable trade or redress scheme.

12. General

If part of these terms is unenforceable, the remainder continues. Delay in enforcement is not a waiver. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers may bring proceedings in the courts available to them under applicable law.
